The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has announced the implementation of a new “walk-in meeting” system, providing a direct channel for applicants and stakeholders to engage with the Drugs Controller General of India (DCG(I)) at the CDSCO Headquarters. This initiative aims to streamline communication and offer a direct avenue for addressing complaints, grievances, and suggestions. This public notice was issued on July 7, 2025.
These walk-in meetings will be held every Tuesday and Thursday, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, excluding Gazetted Holidays. Applicants are encouraged to concisely present their issues within a timeframe of 5 to 7 minutes to ensure that a maximum number of stakeholders can be accommodated during the designated hour.
To facilitate these meetings, a prerequisite form must be completed by applicants. The form requires essential details, including:
- Name and Designation of the Applicant
- Name and Address of the Organization
- Contact Details (Mobile Number and Email ID)
- A brief summary (5-7 lines) outlining the purpose of the visit, whether it pertains to a problem, complaint, grievance, or suggestion.
- The name of the concerned CDSCO division.
- Information on whether the applicant has previously attended a meeting for the same purpose, including the date of any prior visit.
This direct interaction mechanism enhances transparency and expedites the resolution of various issues faced by stakeholders within India’s drug regulatory landscape, fostering a more responsive and accessible regulatory environment.
