APCB Slashes Consent Fees by 10% for Assam’s Recycling Units

In a move aimed at encouraging sustainable practices and easing financial burdens on recycling and reprocessing industries, the Assam Pollution Control Board (APCB) has officially announced a 10% reduction in fees for Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO). The change was approved during the 108th Board Meeting held on May 19, 2025, and formally notified on June 19, 2025.

This reduction applies to all recycling and reprocessing industries operating within Assam and takes immediate effect. It is expected to promote compliance, improve environmental management, and support the state’s efforts toward a greener industrial ecosystem.
