The Office of the Labour Commissioner, Assam, has announced an extension to the deadline for the submission of Annual Returns under the Trade Unions Act, 1926. According to Office Order, the last date for submitting the Annual Return for the year ending 2024 has been extended to June 30, 2025.
The Labour Commissioner’s office is urging all registered Trade Unions in the state to submit their Annual Returns for the year ending 2024 on or before this newly extended deadline of June 30, 2025.
This extension provides additional time for registered Trade Unions to compile and submit the necessary information, ensuring compliance with the Trade Unions Act, 1926. The Labour Commissioner has not specified the reasons for this extension in the public notice.
All registered Trade Unions in Assam are advised to take note of this extended deadline and ensure timely submission of their Annual Returns to the Office of the Labour Commissioner, Shram Bhawan, Guwahati-07.
