BIS Issues New Standards for Coal, Lubricants & Plastics

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has issued a comprehensive notification on the revision and establishment of Indian Standards across multiple industrial domains, including coal and lignite testing, air compressor lubricants, plastics, rubber hoses, and biofuels.

The new standards have been established on April 22, 2025, with older versions set for withdrawal by October 22, 2025, as part of BIS’s ongoing effort to align Indian regulations with international benchmarks such as ISO standards.
