The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), under the Department of Consumer Affairs, has officially established a series of updated Indian Standards across key domains including industrial safety, environmental management, and wellness. As per this BIS notification dated 21st April 2025 these standards came into force on 15th April 2025.
Several outdated standards will remain concurrently in force until their withdrawal date of 15th October 2025, providing industries ample transition time.
