BIS Notifies 13 Updated Indian Standards for Key Products and Safety Norms

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has notified a significant update, establishing 13 revised Indian Standards across a wide range of sectors including essential oils, petroleum products, steel, chemicals, and toy safety.

The updates were published on 6th October 2025 via BIS Notification Ref: HQ-PUB013/1/2020-PUB-BIS (1338) under Rule 15(1) of the BIS Rules, 2018. The new standards came into effect from 23rd September 2025, with older versions to be withdrawn by 23rd March 2026.
