This amendment is in accordance with Sub-rule (1) of Rule 15 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018, and aims to enhance or clarify the technical and quality requirements of flashlights being manufactured, sold, or imported in India.
The standard without the amendment will remain in force until December 8, 2025, allowing stakeholders a six-month transition period to comply with the revised requirements.
