BIS Standards Revised for Explosives, IT, and More

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has issued a notification ( under Rule 15(1) of the BIS Rules, 2018, announcing the establishment of 10 revised Indian Standards across key sectors including chemicals, manufacturing, workplace safety, information technology, and digital communications.

All revised standards come into effect from 9 June 2025, while the corresponding older standards will be withdrawn on 9 December 2025, providing stakeholders a six-month transition window.
