The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has announced an extension for the submission of comments, suggestions, and objections on its Draft Guidelines for Virtual Power Purchase Agreements (VPPAs). The decision comes in response to requests from various stakeholders.
Initially, comments on the Draft Guidelines for VPPAs were solicited via a Public Notice dated May 22, 2025, with an original submission deadline of June 20, 2025.
In light of the requests received, CERC has now extended the last date for submitting feedback until July 11, 2025. Stakeholders and interested parties can send their comments and suggestions via post or email to secy@cercind.gov.in and chiefeco@cercind.gov.in.
This extension provides additional time for industry participants and other interested parties to thoroughly review the draft guidelines and provide their valuable input, contributing to a robust regulatory framework for Virtual Power Purchase Agreements in the Indian electricity market.
