The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has announced a crucial extension for all entities registered on the Waste Tyre EPR Portal. The deadline for filing quarterly and annual returns for the Financial Year 2024-25, originally set for April 30, 2025, has been prolonged until June 30, 2025.
This extension applies to all registered entities operating under the Waste Tyre Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework and those governed by the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Amendment Rules, 2022. The decision aims to provide additional time for businesses to ensure full compliance with environmental regulations concerning waste tyre management.
Registered entities are advised to utilize the updated deadline to submit their comprehensive quarterly and annual returns via the official Waste Tyre EPR Portal.
The CPCB has also clarified that the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Certificate generation and transfer processes will continue to be operational on the EPR Portal throughout this extended period, until June 30, 2025.
Entities are urged to complete their filings well before the new deadline to avoid any last-minute issues and ensure adherence to environmental norms.
