The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has introduced a clear, step-by-step instruction sheet to simplify the process for producers, importers, and brand owners to update their login credentials on the Centralized EPR Portal for plastic packaging. This new guidance is particularly crucial for instances where the original registered phone number or email address is no longer accessible.
The updated procedure, designed to enhance user convenience and ensure continuous compliance with Plastic Waste Management (PWM) Rules, utilizes a dedicated complaint module on the EPR support portal.
Key Steps for Credential Change
- Users must log in to the complaint module via the link.
- Select “Lost Credentials” as the issue and specify the type of change required (Email update, Mobile update, or both).
- Enter the reason for the change request and click “Generate Ticket.”

- Verify the account using the unit’s GST number.
- Enter the new email/mobile details, along with company information and details of the authorized person. Essential documents for upload include the company’s PAN, authorized person’s PAN, GST certificate, a duly signed affidavit (format provided in Annexure I of the instructions), and an authorization letter.
- Complete the request by clicking “Submit Details.”
- Users can track the status of their request on their dashboard.

Upon submission, a CPCB Reviewing Officer will verify the provided details. A verification link will then be sent to the new phone number and email ID (or existing ones if only one credential is being updated). Users must complete this email verification and a mobile OTP verification to confirm the changes.
After successful user verification, CPCB will provide final approval or rejection, with a confirmation email sent to the user’s new/existing email ID. If approved, users can then reset their password and log in with the updated credentials.
The CPCB emphasizes the importance of the accompanying affidavit, which must be typed on a non-judicial stamp paper of ₹100 value, signed by the authorized person in the presence of a notary public or oath commissioner. This affidavit, along with a cover letter, EPR Certificate, company GST certificate, and Aadhar/PAN copies of the new authorized person, must be sent via post to UPC-II, CPCB Head office, East Arjun Nagar, Delhi, 110032.
