Deadline Extended For Submission Of Waste Tyre & E-Waste Reports

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has extended the deadline for producers and recyclers of waste tyres and e-waste to file their quarterly and annual reports.

This extension is available to the following producers and recyclers:

  1. Businesses registered under the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Amendment Rules, 2022 for waste tyres.
  2. Businesses registered under the E-Waste Management Rules, 2024 for e-waste.

The deadline for filing reports for the financial year 2023-24 has been extended from June 30, 2024 to August 31, 2024.

Producers and recyclers shall file their outstanding quarterly and annual reports on the relevant portals:

During this period, the producers and recyclers shall continue generating and transferring Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Certificates.

Reason for Extension

MoEF&CC acknowledges the challenges faced by producers and recyclers in meeting the initial deadline. This extension provides additional time for filing reports and ensures smooth functioning of the EPR certificate system.
