Department of telecommunications has noticed that entities providing Internet services are not providing Internet Protocol Detail Record (IPDR) promptly to the Security Agencies and also that there exists a considerable delay or even non-resolution of IP addresses by ISP/TSP leading to delay in investigations. For many ISPs, it has been reported that details of Nodal Officers, customer base and area of operation is either absent or not updated.
In this regard, it is reiterated that licensees with Internet Service Authorization are bound to comply with the terms and conditions of the License Agreements and SOPs/guidelines issued by the Department from time to time. Non-adherence may lead to non-compliance, which may result in termination of license after following the due course of action.
