From LPG Stoves to Sports Gear: BIS Revises 8 Standards

In a significant update from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), eight Indian Standards have been officially established on June 17, 2025. These standards span across industries such as domestic gas appliances, lubrication equipment, sports goods, and geophysical instruments. The move ensures enhanced quality, safety, and technological relevance of products manufactured and sold in India.

Per the BIS Rules, 2018, these newly revised and first-time revised standards will supersede previous versions on December 17, 2025, giving manufacturers and stakeholders a six-month transition window.
