FSSAI Publishes List of Recognized Food Testing Laboratories with Updated Validity

The Authority has directed all Food Safety Commissioners and FSSAI Notified Laboratories to refer to this updated list. The recognition and continued validity of these laboratories will be subject to guidelines and orders issued by FSSAI periodically.

The attached Annexure I lists 223 recognized laboratories across Northern, Western, Southern, and Eastern regions, detailing their NABL Certificate Numbers, contact information, designated Food Analysts, and the validity dates for chemical, biological, and other testing scopes.

The validity of NABL accreditation is crucial as it signifies the technical competence and quality management systems of the testing facility.

  • NABL Accreditation Status: The list indicates whether the laboratory has undergone an NABL-FSSAI Integrated Assessment (marked Y/N).

Laboratories with Expired/Suspended Status

Annexure II separately lists laboratories whose NABL accreditation validity has expired, or are under suspension or denotification process as of October 6, 2025. This list serves as a warning regarding facilities whose testing services may no longer be utilized for official FSSAI samples.
