Government of Tripura Issues Memorandum on De-Registration of Factories

The Government of Tripura has issued an official Memorandum announcing the de-registration of certain factories under the provisions of the Factories Act, 1948 and the rules framed thereunder.

According to the notification, the names and addresses of the factories listed in Appendix-A no longer qualify as “factories” as defined under Section 2(m)(i) or Section 2(m)(ii), or those notified under Section 85 of the Act. Consequently, their registrations have been cancelled and removed from the official register, effective June 26, 2025.
