India Extends Free Import Period for Yellow Peas Until May 31, 2025

The Central Government has announced an extension to the free import period for Yellow Peas, classified under ITC(HS) code 07131010. This decision aims to ensure a stable supply of the commodity and address domestic demand. This notification was issued on March 11, 2025.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has extended the current import policy conditions from February 28, 2025, to May 31, 2025.

The import of Yellow Peas under ITC (HS) Code 07131010 will continue to be “Free” without the Minimum Import Price (MIP) condition and without port restrictions.

Imports are subject to registration under the online Import Monitoring System.

This extension applies to all import consignments where the Bill of Lading (Shipped on Board) is issued on or before May 31, 2025.

All other terms and conditions remain the same as in previous notifications.
