Medical Colleges Required to Submit Annual Reports on PG Medical Courses by October 31st

All medical colleges and institutions offering postgraduate (PG) medical courses in India must submit Annual Disclosure Report by October 31, 2024. This requirement is in accordance with the Maintenance of Standards of Medical Education Regulations, 2023 (MSMER-2023). This notice was issued on October 1, 2024.

Purpose of the Reports

The MSMER-2023 regulations mandate that medical institutions submit annual reports to ensure they meet the required standards for PG medical education. This process allows for assessment of various aspects, including infrastructure, faculty qualifications, and student support systems.

What’s Included in the Report?

The Annual Disclosure Report consists of two parts:

  1. Standard Assessment Form Part-A: This covers general information common to all PG medical specializations offered by the institution.
  2. Standard Assessment Form Part-B: This part focuses on specific details associated with each broad/super specialty course.

How to Access and Submit Reports

The National Medical Commission (NMC) website provides the necessary forms:

Standard Assessment Form Part-A

Located under “Information Desk” → “Download Application Forms NMC” → “Standard Assessment Form Part-A” at Sl. No. 2

Standard Assessment Form Part-B

Located under “Information Desk” → “Download Application Forms NMC” with options for “Broad Specialty” (Sl. No. 3), “Super Specialty” (Sl. No. 4), and a Master form for cases where the specific form is unavailable (Sl. No. 2.1).

Submission Process

Completed forms and a fee of Rs. 50,000/- plus 18% GST must be submitted through the designated NMC portal available on the homepage.

For technical assistance, medical colleges can contact contactwebsupport.pgmsmer@nmc.org.in

All medical colleges running PG medical courses are urged to adhere to the deadline of October 31, 2024. Timely submission of these reports is crucial for maintaining transparency and ensuring the quality of PG medical education in India.
