The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has announced a final extension for the submission of proposals under the R&D Scheme for Green Hydrogen. The new deadline for submitting proposals is now September 15, 2025.
The Ministry had issued a second “Call for Proposals” on July 14, 2025, with an initial deadline of August 21, 2025, for eligible institutions to submit their R&D proposals under the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM).
In response to requests from various stakeholders, the MNRE has granted this extension to allow sufficient time for institutions and industries to submit high-quality proposals. The Ministry has stated that no further extensions will be given, and all other terms and conditions mentioned in the original Call for Proposals remain unchanged.
This decision aims to ensure a robust and comprehensive response to the R&D Scheme, supporting India’s goal of becoming a global hub for green hydrogen production, usage, and export.
