The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has released the Final Application Form for solar photovoltaic (PV) cell manufacturers seeking enlistment in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-II. This follows the issuance of a Draft Application Form on February 24, 2025, for which the MNRE sought public comments.
The MNRE announced the finalization of the form in an Office Memorandum (O.M.) issued on May 15, 2025. The comments received on the draft form were thoroughly examined in consultation with the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), leading to the final version now released.
Along with the Final Application Form, the MNRE has also issued clarifications addressing queries raised by stakeholders regarding the application process. These clarifications are enclosed with the O.M. to provide further guidance to manufacturers.
The MNRE is urging all solar PV cell manufacturers to promptly apply for enlistment in ALMM List-II using the newly released Final Application Form.
The O.M. clarifies that the remaining procedural modalities for the enlistment of solar PV cells under the ALMM will remain consistent with the existing procedures applicable to the enlistment of solar PV modules, to the extent that they are relevant to solar PV cells.
