The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has released draft amendments to the “Procedure for inclusion/ updating Wind Turbine Model in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers of Wind Turbines (RLMM)” for stakeholder consultation. This circular was issued on April 17, 2025.
The RLMM is a crucial document for the wind energy sector, providing a list of approved wind turbine models and manufacturers. Amendments to the inclusion procedure are likely aimed at streamlining the process, incorporating new technological advancements, or addressing evolving industry needs.
The MNRE is actively seeking feedback from all concerned stakeholders on these proposed draft amendments. This consultation process is vital to ensure that the final procedure is comprehensive, transparent, and effectively serves the needs of the wind energy sector.
All stakeholders are requested to provide their comments on the draft amendments within three (03) weeks from the date of this circular.
