The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued an urgent public notice, mandating all students admitted to Postgraduate Broad Specialty Courses (MD/MS/Diploma) for the Academic Year 2024-25 to verify their admission details on the official NMC portal. This directive, issued on June 13, 2024, aims to ensure that all student records are accurately reflected in the national database.
The notice refers to a preceding public notice from the Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) dated June 12, 2025. The PGMEB had previously extended deadlines, requesting medical colleges to upload student details by April 7, 2025, with a final extension until June 10, 2025.
Despite these multiple requests and extensions, the NMC has noted that some colleges either failed to upload student details or provided incomplete data. As per the latest compilation, details for a total of 47,164 students admitted for the Academic Year 2024-25 have been successfully uploaded to the NMC Portal.
All postgraduate medical students from the 2024-25 batch are now required to access the provided link on the NMC website and meticulously check if their names are reflected in the uploaded list.
Students who gained admission to a Postgraduate Medical Education Broad Specialty course for the Academic Year 2024-25 and whose names do not appear in the online list are strongly advised to consult their respective Directorate of Medical Education/Counselling Authority urgently. This immediate action is vital to rectify any discrepancies and ensure the validity of their admission records.
The NMC emphasizes that this verification process is crucial for maintaining transparency and compliance with the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulation, 2023. All concerned stakeholders, including students, medical colleges, and state medical education departments, are requested to take immediate note and undertake necessary actions to ensure accurate and complete records.
