The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and the Quality Council of India (QCI) are expanding their collaborative efforts to include the ranking and rating of undergraduate (UG) pharmacy colleges offering the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) program, in addition to the previously announced ranking for Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharma) institutions. These circulars were issued on May 20, 2025.
Following earlier circulars, the PCI has announced that the ranking and rating process for B. Pharm colleges will also commence with a registration process. The registration portal developed by QCI can be accessed starting May 26, 2025.
All pharmacy institutes approved under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948, are required to register on this portal and pay a one-time registration fee of ₹ 1,00,000/- plus GST online to QCI for their B. Pharm program. This fee differs from the ₹ 50,000/- plus GST fee applicable to D. Pharma colleges.
The schedule for the subsequent stages of the ranking and rating process for B. Pharm colleges is as follows:
- Registration on QCI Portal: May 26th, 2025
- Application Submission: June 1st – July 7th, 2025
- Training of assessors and colleges: June 1st – July 7th, 2025
- Desktop Review: June 1st – July 15th, 2025
- Onsite Visit: August 1st, 2025 onwards
For further inquiries or clarifications regarding the B. Pharm ranking and rating process, institutions can contact Mr. Nikhil Relia, Deputy Director, at +91-93114 12846 or via email at pciugsupport@qcin.org.
