The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has announced modifications, changes, and updates to its digital platform, aimed at improving user experience and streamlining processes for stakeholders. These updates include a new official website address, an enhanced grievance redressal module, a username retrieval facility, and a profile update feature on the DIGI-PHARMed portal.

1. New Official Website Address
The PCI has officially changed its website address from the previous www.pci.nic.in to the new www.pci.gov.in. All official information, notices, and updates will now be exclusively available on the new website. Stakeholders are advised to update their bookmarks and access the PCI’s digital resources through the new address.
2. Enhanced Grievance Redressal Module
The PCI has streamlined its grievance redressal process by directing all users to report issues through the dedicated “Grievance Module” on the Digi-Pharmed portal. Email communication for specified grievance types will no longer be the primary mode of reporting. Users are requested to log in to the Digi-Pharmed portal to raise and track their grievances related to the following sections:
- Approval Bureau: Issues related to Decision Letter issuance, Service requests, Compliance/Appeal Submission, Request for decision letter, Decision not updated on the website, etc.
- Accounts and Finance: Issues concerning TA/DA Payment, Dual Payment Refund, PCI Payment Scheme, Other Payment Status, etc.
- Policy: Information regarding policy matters, Scholarship Issues, Guidelines/Regulations, State Pharmacy Council, etc.
- IT: Technical issues such as Forgot username, Login Issues, Payment Not Deducted but status showing as pending in SIF, SIF Submission Errors, Data not showing in faculty profiles, Inspection App issues, Appeal and Compliance Process technical issues, and other technical problems.
3. Username Retrieval Facility for Students and Pharmacists
To enhance user convenience, the PCI has introduced a “forgot username” feature on the Digi-Pharmed portal login page and via the direct link. Pharmacists and students who have forgotten their login credentials can now retrieve their username by:
- Verifying their personal details (Mobile Number and E-Mail ID) registered on the DIGI-PHARMed Portal through the form available.
- Completing a second-level verification via an OTP sent to their registered mobile number.
4. Profile Update Facility for Pharmacists
Pharmacists can now directly update certain details in their profile section on the Digi-Pharmed portal. This new feature allows for easy modification of:
- Basic Information (Name, Address, etc.)
- Educational Qualifications
- Bank Account Details
The profile updating process is secured through OTP-based mobile verification to ensure validity and authenticity. Pharmacists are encouraged to keep their profiles accurate and up-to-date using this facility.
5. Mandatory Aadhaar Verification for Mobile Numbers
The PCI has also requested all users to ensure that their mobile number registered on the DIGI-PHARMed portal is verified with Aadhaar. Failure to do so may lead to blacklisting of the user due to unsuccessful e-KYC in the future.
