The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has issued a directive to all pharmacy institutions approved under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948, urging them to celebrate the 11th International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2025.
In a letter signed by Registrar-cum-Secretary Anil Mittal, the PCI forwarded a communication from the Ministry of Ayush dated June 5, 2025 on the subject.
The communication emphasizes the importance of celebrating this global event, which promotes health and well-being through the practice of Yoga. All approved pharmacy institutions are requested to take necessary action for the celebration and to submit an action taken report directly to the Ministry of Ayush, with an intimation to the PCI.
