Pressure Vessel Safety Gets A Fee Update

The amendments primarily focus on updating the schedule of fees payable for various inspection, testing, and certification services related to pressure vessels.

The draft of these amendments was initially published on August 14th, 2024, inviting feedback from all stakeholders within a 30-day window. As no objections or suggestions were received during this period, the Central Government has now finalized and notified these changes.

Key Changes Introduced by the Amendment Rules, 2025

The most significant change is the insertion of a new section, “C. Fees payable to the Inspector or Competent Person or Third Party Inspection Agency for inspection, testing and certification,” within Schedule-I. This section outlines the specific fees applicable for various processes, including:
