Rajasthan Government Announces Medical Facilities for Retired Employees

The Government of Rajasthan on October 12th 2024 issued a notification aimed at providing essential medical facilities under the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS) to employees who were appointed on or after January 1, 2004, and retired by March 31, 2022.

Key Details of the Notification

Eligibility:
This initiative specifically targets retired personnel whose service period was less than 10 years and whose services are not pensionable.

Medical Facility Access:
To ensure these individuals receive medical assistance, the following steps must be taken:

  • Certification Requirement: Retired personnel must obtain certification from their last office, similar to pensioners of the Board/Corporation, or provide a Last Pay Certificate (LPC) issued by their last office.
  • Lump Sum Contribution: A one-time payment of ₹1.05 lakh is required, which covers the prescribed contribution of ₹10,500 per year for 10 years.

Coverage Provided:

  • Inpatient Department (IPD): Medical facilities will be available up to ₹10 lakh per family per year.
  • Outpatient Services (OPS): Coverage of up to ₹30,000.
  • OPD for Serious Diseases: Access to necessary treatments as per requirements within the identified serious diseases.
