BEE notifies Self Ballasted Light Emitting Diode under Standard and Labeling Program

The notification states that self-ballasted LED lamps for general lighting services having rated power from 3 watts to 35 watts, that work on single phase alternating current supply up to and including 250V, 50 Hz are specified for the purpose of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001.

Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Tubular Fluorescent Lamps), (Regulations), 2023

Every tubular fluorescent lamp shall have the prescribed particulars displayed on its label. These include the logo of the BEE, the name of the manufacturer or importer and brand, size of the tubular fluorescent lamp and colour and temperature, trade name and number, model and year of manufacturing or import, etc

Ministry of Power designates Additional Energy Intensive Industries and Establishments as Designated Consumers

The amendments specify additional energy intensive industries and establishments as designated consumers, thereby subjecting them to energy efficiency regulations. This notification was issued on 6th June, 2023.
