CPCB Seeks Public Input on Draft Guidelines for Environmental Compensation Under Hazardous Waste Rules

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has released draft guidelines for the imposition of Environmental Compensation (EC) under the recently amended “Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Second Amendment Rules, 2023,” and is inviting comments and suggestions from the public by June 5, 2025.

CPCB Extends Deadline for Test Reports in 37th Analytical Quality Control Exercise

The CPCB cited a delay in sample delivery as the reason for this extension. This additional time is provided to all participating laboratories for the submission of their test reports related to the samples with the certificate dated April 17, 2025, specifically for the parameters “Heavy Metals and Physicochemical”.
