Extension in release of Imported Consignments of Producers of 106 EEE items
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has clarified that the interim arrangement of release of imported consignments of producers of 106 EEE items shall be extended to 15th September, 2023. It may be recalled that CPCB had previously notified that this interim arrangement would be effective till 31st August, 2023.
PWPs directed to complete Generation of EPR Certificates
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has directed all Plastic Waste Processors (PWPs) to complete Generation of EPR Certificates. The EPR Certificates for sales made in 2022-2023 must be generated on the Centralised EPR Portal for plastic packaging by 31st October, 2023.

Comments Invited on Draft Framework for Generation of EPR Certificates for Key Metals
In the initial two years, EPR certificates will be generated for Gold (Au), Non-Ferrous Metals (Al and Cu), and Iron (including steel and galvanized iron).
