The Labour Ministry extends the public utility service status on coal industry for another 6 months.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment vide its notification dated 24th May 2021 has extended the public utility service status to services engaged in the coal industry under the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947.

The Ministry had earlier granted an extension to the coal industry for a period of six months, starting from 27th November 2020. This has now been extended for another six months with effect from 27th May 2020.
