UGC invites applications for development of Massive Open Online Courses

The University Grants Commission (UGC) hereby invites Expression of Interest (Eol) from eligible faculty members of Higher Educational Institutions (HEls) for the development of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) across various disciplines to be offered on the SWAYAM platform.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. The applicant must be a faculty member in a duly recognized institute/university/college, holding a Ph.D. degree with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in the relevant discipline.
  2. Faculty members employed in HEls which are eligible to receive financial assistance from UGC as per the provisions of the UGC Act, 1956.
  3. Faculty members are required to submit a consent letter from their respective HEI for offering the online course through SWAYAM as per UGC (Credit Framework for Online Learning Courses through Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) Regulations, 2021.

All course materials must undergo plagiarism checks, and plagiarism reports must be submitted to the host University/Institution and UGC. The Course Coordinator must ensure compliance with all directives issued by the UGC and MoE from time to time.
