UGC invites HEls for the development of Massive Open Online Courses

The University Grants Commission invites Expressions of Interest from Higher Educational Institutions (HEls) for the development of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in Environmental Studies for the SWAYAM platform.

Eligibility Criteria :

1. The applicant must be a faculty member in a duly recognized institute/university/college, holding a Ph.D. and having a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Environmental Studies or related disciplines.
2. Faculty members employed in HE ls which are eligible to receive financial assistance from UGC as per the provisions of the UGC 1956 Act.
3. C. Faculty members are required to submit a consent letter from their respective HEI for offering the online course through SWAYAM as per UGC Credit Framework for Online Learning Courses through Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) Regulations, 2021.

2. Climate Change, Mitigation, and Adaptation Strategies (technological, nature-based, and market-based interventions)
3. Environmental Monitoring and Instrumentation*
4. Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance
5. Environmental Communication and Journalism
6. Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) and Environment

Scope of Work: The following Environmental Studies courses have been identified for development as a MOOC:
