FSSAI Issues letter related to monitoring of pesticides residues in food products
FSSAI on 16th October 2019, has issued advisory to all state food safety commissioners on monitoring of pesticides residues in food products.
Study has revealed that the presence of pesticide residues in the food commodities is beyond the specified limits in some states. State authorities are advised to keep a strict vigilance and conduct targeted special enforcement drive in specified drive.

SEBI amends Buy Back of Securities Regulations
The SEBI issued the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Buy-Back of Securities) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2019 on September 19, 2019. The amendment clarifies the ambiguity that might arise in calculating the maximum limit for buy back of shares by listed companies. The amendment provides stand-alone and consolidated financial statements as the basis for calculating the optimum limits of buy-back.
