Government of Goa notifies Guildlines/recommendations for sustainable utilization conservation and management of bio resources.
As per the guidelines, the available clam resources should be allowed to be harvested only with the traditional method of hand picking and exclusively by the local villagers & those residing within an area of about 5 kms radius from the site by road or water on alongside of location and does not include opposite side of riverbank.
Ministry of Textile extends the validity of order issued under the Jute Packaging Materials (Compulsory Use in Packaging Commodities) Act 1987.
As per the earlier order, the ministry directed the commodities such as food grains and sugar to be packed in jute packaging material for supply or distribution. Initially ten per cent. of the indents for foodgrains would be placed through reverse auction on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal.

Section 15 of the Act provides for conduct of a common final year undergraduate examination, to be known as the National Exit Test (NExT) which shall be the basis for Registration to practice medicine, admission to PG medical courses and Screening Test for foreign medical graduates to practice modern medicine.
All medical colleges to register and upload their 10 year academic certificate data through DigiLocker facility.
The direction to the pharmacy institutions to upload the certificates is in order to comply with the directions of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) regarding the National Academic Depository (NAD) under the ministry of education.
Goa Registration of Tourist Trade (Amendment) Rules, 2022
The amendment provides that every person running the business of hotelkeeper shall submit Statistics on a monthly basis before 5th of the month succeeding the month to which its pertains containing the details of the tourists
residing in his hotel/Other Accommodation unit. Such Statistics shall be submitted in the Electronic mode only as per software developed by Goa Electronics Limited in Form XI, herewith.
Goa Factories (Sixteenth Amendment) Rules, 2022
The amendment provides that the Chief Inspector or the Inspector may, in exercise of the powers and performance of the functions under the Act, issue any directions in writing to the occupier or manager or both, any officer or authority appointed by the Government and such occupier or manager or both, such officer or authority shall be bound to comply with such directions. No such notice shall be required to be given and the Chief Inspector may issue such directions after recording the reasons in writing and after obtaining due approval of the Government, wherever the reasons for such directions are such that where any premises is being used as a factory without obtaining a license from the Chief Inspector.
