RBI issues revised instructions for Inoperative Accounts /Unclaimed Deposits in Banks

RBI has issued comprehensive guidelines on the measures to be put in place by the banks covering various aspects of classifying accounts and deposits as inoperative accounts and unclaimed deposits, as the case may be, periodic review of such accounts and deposits, measures to prevent fraud in such accounts/deposits, grievance redressal mechanism for expeditious resolution of complaints, steps to be taken for tracing the customers of inoperative accounts/ unclaimed deposits including their nominees/ legal heirs for re-activation of accounts, settlement of claims or closure and the process to be followed by them.

Jharkhand Goods and Services Tax (Second Amendment) Rules, 2023

The amendments cover a range of areas, including timeframes, processes, and rules related to information submission, registration suspension and revocation, physical verification of business premises, value of supplies, e-way bill generation, compounding amounts for offenses, consent-based information sharing, and notices for return defaulters. Additionally, new forms like FORM GST DRC-01C and FORM GST DRC-01D have been introduced, while existing forms like FORM GSTR-9 and FORM GSTR-9C have been amended.

FAQs For Institutions On PCI Digital Processes

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has observed that institutions utilizing the PCI Digital platform have encountered some common issues. Hence, the PCI has issued FAQs to provide solutions and assistance. These FAQs were published on January 2, 2024.

No Fees To Be Charged For Continuing Nursing Education

The INC has therefore categorically stated that SNRCs shall not charge any fees from either the nursing institutions conducting CNEs or from nurses. Additionally, the INC will launch a portal for uploading information by nursing institutions on the CNE. The SNRCs will be able to use the portal to check the CNE details of the nurses and renew their registrations.
