58 MoUs were signed Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024

As a prelude to the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, a role model of development and the Growth Engine of the nation, Gujarat achieved a historic milestone by signing MoUs for proposed investments totalling Rs 7,12,250 crores. The MoUs were signed under the guidance and presence of CM. A total of 58 MoUs were inked between industry investors and the state government across various sectors, paving the way for the creation of 3,70,165 direct and indirect employment opportunities in the future.

Post-Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023

The PGMER-23 outlines a comprehensive framework for post-graduate medical education. The regulations emphasize the development of scholars who recognize community health needs, uphold ethical professional obligations, and master competencies required for healthcare delivery at secondary and tertiary levels. The implementation of PGMER-23 is expected to elevate the standards of post-graduate medical education in India, fostering a generation of professionals equipped to address the dynamic healthcare landscape.

NPPA sets Retail Prices for 19 Formulations

Manufacturers of specific formulations categorized as “new drugs” under the Drug Price Control Order (DPCO), 2013 (DPCO, 2013) are required to set the retail price as indicated in this notification. Manufacturers can add Goods and Services Tax to the retail price only if they have already paid or are liable to pay the government on the mentioned retail price. Manufacturers must issue a price list in Form–V via IPDMS to the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) and submit copies to State Drug Controllers and dealers.

SMART 2.0 Launched For Ayurveda Teaching Professionals

SMART 2.0 is an acronym for ‘Scope for Mainstreaming Ayurveda Research among Teaching professionals.’ It aims to facilitate robust clinical studies in priority areas of Ayurveda through collaboration with academic institutions and hospitals nationwide. Academic institutions interested in participating in collaborative research activities can submit their ‘Expression of Interest’.

Blood Centres Can Only Charge Processing Charges For Blood

The Central Drugs Standards Control Organisation (CDSCO) has issued an advisory requiring adherence to the Revised Guidelines- 2022 for Recovery of Processing Charges for Blood and Blood Components issued by NBTC. The advisory states that during the Drugs Consultative Committee meeting it was opined that blood is not for sale and hence the blood centres shall charge only processing costs.

Electrical Accessories (Quality Control) Order, 2023

The Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing authority for these goods or articles. Any person who contravenes the provisions of this Order shall be punishable under the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
