New Drug Manufacturing Rules Introduced to Strengthen Quality Standards

The Amendment Rules introduce a new set of guidelines titled “GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES AND REQUIREMENTS OF PREMISES, PLANT AND EQUIPMENT FOR PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTS” in Schedule M. The guidelines outline several key principles to be adhered to by pharmaceutical manufacturers, focusing on pharmaceutical quality systems, quality risk management, sanitation and hygiene, qualification and validation, complaints and adverse reactions, product recalls, and change control.

PCI Extends Application Deadline Due to Technical Issues

In light of this extension, PCI urges all institutions not to delay the submission of applications until the last date. It is emphasized that waiting until the final moments may lead to server congestion, potentially causing delays in the application process. Institutions are encouraged to submit their applications at the earliest, well within the stipulated timeframe.

The Union Health Minister officially launched the website for the Healthy & Hygienic Food Street initiative and unveiled a brochure outlining the Standard Operating Procedure for these food streets. In addition to this, he also inaugurated 17 civil works, including two Public Health Unit blocks, 54 Chief Minister Sanjeevni Health Clinics, three Integrated Public Health Labs, an Emergency Covid response package, three Community Health Centres, and eight Primary Health Care Centres.

Regulations from Employees State Insurance Corporation

Employees State Insurance (General) Regulations,1950, The Director General has fixed the 01/12/2023 as the date from, which the medical benefit as laid down in the said Regulation 95-A and the Uttar Pradesh Employees State Insurance (medical benefit) Rules, 1958 shall be extended to the families of insured persons in all the areas of Mainpuri district, in addition to already notified areas of the district and in all the area of Basti district of Uttar Pradesh.
