Last date to submit applications (fresh & renewal) under National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme for Year 2023-24 extended up to 31st January, 2024 on National Scholarship Portal

The last date for submission of applications for NMMSS for the year 2023-24 has been extended to 31st January, 2024. On the NSP portal, there are two levels of verification of the scholarship application of selected students, Level-1(L1) verification is at Institute Nodal Officer (INO) and Level-2(L2) is with the District Nodal Officer (DNO). The last date of INO level (L1) verification is 15th February, 2024 and for DNO level (L2) verification is 26th February, 2024.

PM inaugurates, lays the foundation stone of multiple development projects 12,700 crore in Navi Mumbai

Mega Master Plan-2050 for Industrial development in Telangana

Chief Minister said that the State Government will unveil a ‘Mega Master policy’ aiming to achieve industrial growth in the entire Telangana State by 2050. The Chief Minister held a meeting with the representatives of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at the Secretariat on Saturday. The CM said that the formula adopted for industrial development in Telangana region from 1994 to 2004 was different and the industrial policy embraced between 2004 and 2014 is at another level. The government will strive to reach industrial growth at the highest level in the coming days.

Coastal Restoration Mission by Government of Tamil Nadu

Government of Tamil Nadu on Wednesday issued orders for the launch of the Tamil Nadu Coastal Restoration Mission which is the fourth mission mode project of the Government after Climate Change Mission, Green Tamil Nadu Mission & Wetland Mission. An announcement to this effect was made by the Minister for Finance and Human Resource Management in the Budget Speech during 2023-2024.

PCI Draws Attention To UGC Mandate On Anti-Ragging Measures

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has issued a notice urging all pharmacy institutions to monitor Anti-Ragging measures as per University Grants Commission (UGC) directions. The UGC has issued comprehensive regulations on curbing the menance of ragging in higher educational institutions. These regulations are applicable to all institutions across the country.
