IRDAI announces monthly Open House for InsurTech & Fintech Entities
The Open House would be held at the Head Office of IRDAI from 11.00 AM to 1.00 PM on 15th of every month henceforth. If 15th happens to be a holiday, the Open House will be held from 11.00 AM to 1.00 PM on the next working day. Chairperson, IRDAI, in his/her absence, the senior most Whole-time Member along with senior officials of IRDAI will be present.

Applicability of Conformity of Production (COP) for CPCB II Extended Manufacturing
Manufacturers, importers, and suppliers of Genset and Genset Engine models that benefit from the provisions of the Environment (Protection) Fourth Amendment Rules, 2023, and MoEFCC OM dated June 22, 2023, are hereby informed that they must conduct or renew Conformity of Production (COP) tests for these models. These tests should be carried out following the relevant systems and procedures and will remain valid until June 30, 2024.

FSSAI revokes Suspension of Food Testing Laboratories
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has announced the immediate revocation of the suspension of six laboratories. The revocation of suspension implies that the specified laboratories can now resume their regular operations and continue ensuring the safety and quality of food products.
INC extends deadline for Admissions to all Nursing Programmes

Centralized mechanism for reporting the demise of an investor through KRAs
Once the KRA flags an investor’s KYC as “Blocked Permanently,” all intermediaries must immediately block debit transactions in the investor’s account and notify the notifier or nominee about the transmission procedure. In case of transaction requests in accounts flagged as “On Hold,” additional due diligence, such as video calls or in-person verification, is required.
SEBI has provided extension of timeline for verification of market rumors by listed entities
It has been decided to extend the effective date of implementation of the proviso to regulation 30(11) of the LODR Regulations for top 100 listed entities by market capitalization, to February1, 2024 and for top 250 listed entities by market capitalization, to August 1, 2024.
SEBI has extended the timeline for nomination of mutual fund holders
Upon failure to provide or opt out of nomination, the folios of unit holders shall be frozen with effect from January 01, 2024 instead of September 30, 2023.
