The National Sickle Cell Anemia Elimination Mission takes a comprehensive approach towards combating sickle cell disease as the impact of a disease is not felt by the patient alone, but by the whole family. NSCEM combines both screening and awareness strategies to ensure early detection and treatment while promoting education about the disease.

The Guidelines state that because of economic viability, thermal power stations most widely dispose both precipitated fly ash and bottom ash together as a slurry to the pond in which it stored for a longer period. The Ministry of Power has modified its purchase preference for public procurement in the power sector to include ‘energy meters including smart meters’. Hence, class-I local suppliers would be entitled to bid for public procurement for these goods.

National Electricity Plan Notification (Amendment) Rules, 2023
Under the amended rule, a draft National Electricity Plan will be published on the website of the Authority. This step will allow licensees, generating companies, and the general public to review the plan and provide their suggestions and objections. Furthermore, the notice regarding the publication of the draft plan will be published in at least two daily newspapers to maximize awareness.
