BIS Revises Standards for Metals and Alloys, Sterilization of Health Care Products and Drinks Based on Fermented Milk

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has revised certain standards for Graphic Technology, Sterilization of Health Care Products and Drinks Based on Fermented Milk. These notifications were published on April 29, 2024.

The notified revised standards are on the following:

  • Corrosion of Metals and Alloys
  • Steel
  • Retail Financial Services
  • Assaying of Platinum and Platinum Alloys
  • Industrial Furnaces and Associated Processing Equipment

These standards were established on April 22, 2024. The previous versions of these standards will be withdrawn from May 22, July 22 or October 22, 2024 as the case may be.

BIS has also introduced the following new standards:

  • Graphic Technology
  • Air Permeability for Curtain Walls, Windows, Sliders, Doors and Skylights
  • Drinks Based on Fermented Milk
  • Coaching Centre Services
  • Human Resource Management

These standards were established on April 22, 2024.

Additionally, BIS has amended standards on sterilization of Health Care Products. The amended standards were established on April 22, 2024 and the previous versions will remain in force till May 21, 2024.
