CCTV Cameras to Require BIS Certification for Sale in India

The Indian government has recently amended the Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirements for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021. The amendment now mandates Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification for Closed-Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV Cameras) sold in the country.

BIS Revises Standards for IT, Petroleum Products & GPS

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has issued several notifications revising certain standards for IT, Petroleum Products & GPS. These notifications were all published on March 26, 2024. The notification specifies different dates of establishment and withdrawal of previous standards.

IIT Hyderabad Cluster secures major funding for innovative CISCoM center establishment

The IIT Hyderabad Cluster has secured a 60 crore grant from the Department of Science and Technology (DST) as part of the Sophisticated Analytical and Technical Help Institutes (SATHI) scheme.
