Training of Krishi Sakhis for promotion of Natural Farming

The initiative aims to train and certify 50,000 Krishi Sakhis in a phased manner, with the National Centre for Organic and Natural Farming (NCONF), a subordinate office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, serving as the Nodal institution. The 5-day training course has modules prepared by NCONF and reviewed by the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE).

By the present amendment rules, every establishment must comply with the rural sector specific harmonized accessibility standards/guidelines. Scope of accessibility guidelines in DoRD include provision of guidelines for making various assets created and activities undertaken through the different schemes being implemented by DoRD, accessible to persons with disabilities.

Krishi 24/7 establishes a mechanism for leveraging artificial intelligence for efficient agricultural news monitoring. The tool scans agricultural news articles in multiple languages and translates them into English, extracting crucial information such as headline, crop name, event type, date, location, severity, summary, and source link.

Plant Quarantine (Twelfth, Thirteenth and Fourteenth) Orders

These Amendment Orders have revised the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003. The Twelfth Amendment Order has revised the points of entry for imports of plants/plant materials and other articles. The Thirteenth and Fourteenth Amendment Orders have revised the list of plants/plant materials permitted import with additional declarations and special conditions.
