FSSAI extends the timeline for submission of Annual/Half yearly return by FBOs
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India vide its Notification dated 11th April 2020 has extended the timeline for submission of annual return for the financial year 2019-2020 and half-year October 2019-March 2020 till 31st July 2020.
CBIC Orders special drive to expedite custom refunds and drawbacks
The Board issued a directive to all chief commissioners and principal chief commissioners to immediately dispose of all pending refund and drawback claims. This Special Drive shall be in place till 30.04.2020.
BSE Request stock brokers to submit data on clients fund by 16th April.
The Bombay Stock Exchange vide has requested Stockbrokers to submit the data on clients’ funds lying with them on weekly basis based on the last trading day of every week on or before the next three trading days. Data for for the week ended April 09, 2020, to be filed by April 16, 2020.
Extension of last date for public comments on Draft Companies (CSR Policy) Amendment Rules, 2020

Ministry of Home Affairs directs states to ensure movement of cargo, trucks & workers and functioning of warehouse/cold storages
The Ministry of Home Affairs on 12th April 2020 has directed all states to implement the lockdown guidelines as issued earlier and to ensure the smooth movement of inter and intra-state cargo trucks, workers and also the functioning of warehouses and cold storages.

RBI permits foreign inward remittances into PM-CARE Fund
The Reserve Bank of India vide its circular dated 3rd April 2020, has allowed the foreign inward remittances from non-residents through non-resident exchange houses in favour of the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES) Fund to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Government of Odisha makes epidemic Act more stringent to combat covid-19.
As per the Epidemic Diseases (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020, applicable to Odisha, anybody who disobeys any regulation or order made under the principal Act is liable for imprisonment up to two years or with fine up to Rs 10,000 or with both and every offence under this act shall be cognizable and bailable.

The State Government of Odisha Vide its notification dated 9th April 2020 has amended the Odisha COVID-19 Regulations, 2020 by making it mandatory for citizens to cover their mouth & nose with any form of masks while going outside. The use of mask by all persons shall be mandatory with effect from 7 am of 9th April 2020.
