The Inland Vessels (Prevention and Containment of Pollution) Rules, 2022

No inland vessel shall be issued with the Prevention of Pollution Certificate envisaged under the Act issued by the Designated Authority, unless such vessel complies with requirements and standards for pollution prevention and containment including the physical design of the inland vessel or facilities that the inland vessel shall carry, or those which are operational or procedural in nature, which the inland vessel is required to comply under these rules.

Ministry of Ports issues guidelines for reviving stressed projects.

These guidelines will pave the way for resolution of the cases under arbitration. The port asset is likely to be put to use through re-bidding. This will definitely result in unlocking the blocked cargo handling capacity of approximately 27 MTPA thereby creating better trade opportunities for the prospective investors and Port Authority will start generating revenue.

The Central Motor Vehicles (Draft Amendment) Rules, 2021.

Trade certificate is necessary for those manufacturers of motor vehicles or dealers of motor vehicles or test agencies specified in rule 126 or importers of motor vehicles or any entity(s) specified by central government, who possess vehicles which are neither registered nor temporarily registered.

Central government waives user fee for delayed national highway projects

The amendment provides that no user fee shall be levied for the delayed period between the Scheduled date of completion as per agreement and the date of actual completion of national highway project, if it is delayed. Any provisional completion of the project shall not be treated as completion of the project.
