This notification was published on 04.04.2024.
In alignment with the need to facilitate the exercise of the citizens’ fundamental right to vote, the Adviser to the Administrator of Chandigarh Union Territory hereby declares 1st June 2024 (Saturday) as a day of closure for all Shops and Commercial Establishments across Chandigarh Union Territory, in accordance with the authority conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 10 of the Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishment Act, 1958 (Punjab Act No. 15 of 1958), applicable to Chandigarh Union Territory.
