In accordance with the Gazette of India: Extraordinary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade), Notification, dated September 29, 2023, regarding the application for the modification of detonator manufacturing licenses granted under LE-1 of the Explosives Rules, 2008, specifically addressing the phasing out of electric detonators. This notification was published on 30/04/2024.
In light of the above, all manufacturers of detonators are hereby instructed to submit their applications in a paperless manner (online) to the Head Office, PESO, Nagpur, for the amendment of their detonator manufacturing licenses concerning the manufacturing quantity for the financial year 2024-2025. This modification is necessary to achieve a complete phasing out of electric detonators by the conclusion of the financial year 2024-2025. The online application process entails uploading all necessary documents and the submission of fees through the online module to this office no later than May 3, 2024. Following the submission of documents for amendment, please notify the Office of the OIN Number of your amendment application by emailing the same to either kthiagarajan@explosives.gov.in or rkschauhan@explosives.gov.in.
