MARB Reviews PG Medical Course Applications

Following the earlier Public Notice issued by the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) on 11th March 2024, MARB has continued its assessment process regarding applications from medical institutions for the initiation or expansion of postgraduate (PG) courses or seats. A notice on this process was issued on March 13, 2024.

In this latest development, MARB has communicated on an additional 214 online applications from medical institutions. These applications pertain to the commencement of new PG medical courses or the augmentation of seats in existing PG medical courses for the Academic Year 2024-25.

The MARB has also sent communications pertaining to an additional 202 online applications received from medical institutions for the commencement of new PG medical courses and the augmentation of seats in existing PG medical courses.

These communications have been dispatched via email to the respective medical institutions/colleges, as indicated in the online applications. Institutions are requested to acknowledge receipt and take necessary action within the stipulated timeline.

It may be recalled that in the previous Public Notices, MARB had already initiated communications with 238 online PG Medical course applications. These communications were similarly dispatched via email to the respective medical institutions and colleges.

For the remaining applications received online, MARB assures that communications will be dispatched in due course.

MARB  has also issued communications to medical institutions/colleges regarding the submission of deficient documents/information. This initiative comes as a follow-up to MARB’s Public Notice dated 06.03.2024.

Through these communications, MARB has requested the concerned medical institutions/colleges to submit a sworn affidavit to fulfill the necessary requirements. It has been clarified that the said affidavit should be submitted on a duly notarized stamp paper of Rs.100/-.

This clarification is intended to ensure compliance with the specified procedures and to streamline the documentation process. MARB emphasizes the importance of adhering to these requirements to facilitate a smooth assessment process.

MARB continues its efforts to maintain transparency and efficiency in the assessment procedures, thereby contributing to the enhancement of medical education standards across the country.
