Amid escalating heat wave conditions, Municipal Commissioner’s Circular No. 12 of 2024-2025 introduces measures to safeguard outdoor workers of the WBUES. Effective immediately until May 31, 2024, employees shall refrain from outdoor duties between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. However, they will continue their tasks outside these hours, in the early morning and evening, adhering to departmental requirements. This directive prioritizes employee welfare while ensuring operational continuity. By implementing these precautionary measures, the municipality aims to mitigate heat-related risks and ensure the well-being of its workforce. This notification was published on April 29, 2024.
